Portraits
In class we made/took pictures of people, this is also known as portraits. Before photography, portraits were the only way to see a picture. When photography was invented artist who made portraits were very puzzled. During this lesson I learned that there is so much more to pictures and portraits than we imagine, for example there is the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds helps create a focus in the picture, also when you take a portrait you should use light to make your picture even better.:)As a project, we went outside and took portraits of people with the sun shining over them and on either side of them.

Claymation!!!
The art of Claymation is soooo much fun!!! It reminds me of how they make animation movies. Animation was always my favorite when I was around 8 and 9 years old.The cartoon Wallace & Gromitt is an example of claymation which became popular on TV a couple years back. All the characters were made from moulded Plasticine modelling clay on wire frames, and filmed with stop motion animation. This process is sometimes known as "claymation", although this term was trademarked by Will Vinton Studios and is properly applied only to works generated there.
I think claymation might be something my cousin would be intrested in, I myself don't think I would be able to because it requieres practical skills which I don't have. An example of this would be, good use of angle, and the ability to create a story from These were two Photos I took of myclaymation charectorMonday, March 7, 2011
